February 19, 2020, representatives of the Republican Graduate School of Business and Management (hereinafter – Graduate School) held a seminar-training for teaching staff and students of the Tashkent Institute of Chemical Technologies (hereinafter - TICT) on "Advanced foreign experience in education and project management».

In the first part of the event, the head of the Department of Project Management and Strategizing of the Graduate School Bakhrom Kholbaev made his presentation on the topic: "Project management in the perspective of Malaysia".

During the event, he explained the current state and prospects for the development of project management in Uzbekistan, the role and contribution of the Graduate School in the training of highly qualified personnel in the field project management.

Further he gave examples and cases of implementing project management at the state level, managing projects and the project portfolio on the example of Malaysia, implementing information systems for project management, project risks (i-MATEC), conducting project evaluations and much more.

Bakhrom Kholbaev is a participant of a specialized week-long course on the theme: «Project and project portfolio management practices based on the experience of Malaysia», which was organized at the end of 2019 by the Graduate School and PEMANDU Associates Sdn. Bhd. (Malaysia) with strategic partner National Institute of Public Administration (INTAN).

Further, a presentation was made by a professor of the University of Iowa (USA) - Tina Coffelt, invited by the Fulbright program and today she is part of the Graduate School team.

She spoke about the Fulbright programme, education at US universities for teachers of the TICT at Industry Retraining and Development Centre for Teachers, and shared information on education and research at Iowa State University.

At the end of the training workshop, the participants expressed their gratitude and appreciation for such a rich and informative report.
