Holders of the State scholarship of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan should submit a copy of the relevant document.
Note: Applicants for PhD should have:
- the master's degree or bachelor’s diploma (specialty programs);
-scientific results, including at least one scientific article published in a scientific journal, and at least two abstracts in scientific proceedings in the relevant fields which can form the basis of a dissertation research for PhD;
Applicants shall pass the two entrance exams – one is foreign language (studied at previous levels of education) and the second is specialty.
Applicants are exempt from taking examinations in foreign language if they have IELTS qualification (with an average score of at least 5.5), TOEFL (PBT) (at least 567 points), TOEFL (iBT) (at least 87 points), CEFR (with a level of at least B2). In case of equality of final scores of several applicants for admission to PhD, they scored on the entrance exams, the advantage is given to the following applicants having:
- master's degree with honors;
- copyright certificates and patents;
- a greater number of scientific articles published in journals, including foreign journals (relative to another applicant).
Holders of the State scholarship of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan are admitted to PhD without examinations.
Selection of applicants entering the PhD program is carried out by the results of entrance examinations, as well as the allocated quota on the basis of the conclusion of the Admission Committee by November 30.

Note: Applicants for doctorate (DSc) should have:
- a degree of candidate of sciences, PhD or other equivalent degrees received in foreign countries;
-achieved significant scientific achievements after obtaining candidate of sciences or PhD degree or other equivalent degrees received in foreign countries, including at least three scientific articles published in scientific journals and at least two theses in collections of scientific and scientific-practical conferences, in other collections of scientific papers on the relevant scientific areas, which can form the basis of the dissertation research for the degree of Doctor of Science (DSc)
In case of equality of the final scores of several applicants for doctoral studies based on the results of the interview, the advantage is given to the applicants having:
- more than 5 years of scientific and pedagogical experience;
- copyright certificates and patents;
- monographs (for social Sciences and Humanities), a greater number of scientific articles (relative to another applicant) on the subject of the applicant's dissertation, published in scientific journals according to the list of HAC, including foreign journals;
- completed more than 50 percent of the volume of dissertation research.
Selection of applicants entering the DSc is carried out by the results of interview, as well as the allocated quota on the basis of the conclusion of the Admission Committee by November 30.

- list of published scientific papers, as well as their copies;
- Profile (characteristic) from the place of work;

Note: Independent PhD applicants should have:
- a master's degree diploma (specialties);
- certain scientific publications;
- scientific and pedagogical experience of at least two years or certain scientific achievements (patents for inventions or copyright certificates).
Applicants holding a diploma of candidate of sciences or doctor of philosophy (PhD), or other equivalent degrees obtained in foreign countries, who have achieved significant scientific achievements after obtaining a degree in accordance with the established requirements, are registered as independent DSc applicants.
