A meeting with representatives of the Malaysian Asia Pacific University (APU) took place

On February 22, 2024. Shahrukh Sharakhmetov, the First Deputy Director of the Graduate School of Business and Entrepreneurship, led the meeting.

In attendance were Gofurjon Usmanov, the Head of the Center for Business Incubators and Startup Projects, and Rustam Gulomov, the Head of the Project Office for the Promotion and Implementation of the Green Economy. The event also saw the participation of Nur Zahdi, the Director of Quality Management at APU, and Falakhat Nedzhadmakhanilar, the Manager for Strategic Research and Projects.

  With the aim of fruitful collaboration, the Malaysian side has proposed cooperation in conducting joint research activities and publications in scientific journals (SCOPUS), engaging professors for knowledge exchange and internships, organizing joint events for knowledge dissemination and education (seminars, masterclasses, conferences), joint efforts to enter the QS global ranking and uphold teaching quality standards, benchmarking, organizing joint initiatives related to CSR, ESG initiatives, etc.

Representatives from APU (Asia Pacific University) highlighted that the university is actively engaged in the research field, boasting 4 research centers and 18 research clusters. Additionally, APU actively pursues publications in international scientific journals as it contributes to its placement in the QS global ranking. This is achieved through collaborative publications to enrich the International Research Network (IRN), a gauge of global interaction, showcasing how institutions create and maintain research partnerships. The outcome is publications in international collaboration with other institutions abroad, fostering cooperation in addressing global issues and disseminating vital research among a broader audience.

For reference, APU (Asia Pacific University) holds the rank of 621-630 globally, 1st place for the number of international students in Malaysia, 179th place in Asia, and carries a QS rating of "5 Stars Plus."

The discussion also covered Malaysian activities in other areas, such as the establishment of business incubators and accelerators, organization of short courses on various topics, and industrial visits to prominent Malaysian companies.

At the end of the meeting, both parties expressed interest in joint educational and research initiatives aimed at developing contemporary competencies in the field of business and entrepreneurship.
