Announcement of Admission to Doctoral Studies (DSc, PhD) at the Graduate School of Business and Entrepreneurship

In accordance with the requirements of the Regulation “On Postgraduate Education”, approved by the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated May 22, 2017, “On Measures to Further Improve the System of Postgraduate Education”, the Graduate School of Business and Entrepreneurship announces admission to independent candidacy (PhD, DSc) for the year 2024 in the field of 08.00.16 – “Digital Economy and International Digital Integration”.

Documents are accepted by the admission committee from April 15 to May 15, 2024, through the Unified Electronic System of the Agency for Innovative Development http://phd.mininnovation.uz.

List of documents required for admission to independent candidacy - DSc:

• Application;

• Summary sheet;

• Copy of the employment record book, certified in the prescribed manner;

• Copy of the diploma of higher education, candidate of sciences, or doctor of philosophy (PhD) or other equivalent foreign scientific degrees;

• List of published scientific works and their copies;

• Scientific report on the research topic and a detailed project plan for the dissertation to obtain the academic degree of Doctor of Sciences (DSc);

• Character reference from the place of work;

• Copy of passport.

 

Note: Doctoral candidates (DSc) are accepted:

- Holding a scientific degree of candidate of sciences or doctor of philosophy (PhD) or other equivalent foreign scientific degrees;

- Having achieved significant scientific results after obtaining the scientific degree of candidate of sciences or doctor of philosophy (PhD) or other equivalent foreign scientific degrees, including at least three scientific articles published in scientific journals and at least two abstracts in collections of scientific-practical conferences, seminars, and other collections of scientific works in relevant scientific fields, which may form the basis of the dissertation research for obtaining the academic degree of Doctor of Sciences (DSc).).

Candidates for doctoral studies undergo an interview in the specialty conducted by the admissions committee.

The selection of candidates applying for independent candidacy (DSc) is made by the admission committee based on the results of the interview.

In case of equal final scores of several candidates for doctoral studies, obtained by them based on the results of the interview, preference is given to the following candidates:

- Having more than 5 years of scientific and pedagogical experience;

- Holding copyright certificates and patents;

- Having monographs (for social sciences and humanities), a greater number of scientific articles (relative to other candidates) on the topic of the candidate’s dissertation, published in relevant scientific journals, including foreign journals;

- Completing more than 50 percent of the volume of dissertation research.

 List of Documents Required for Admission to Independent Candidacy for PhD:

- Application;

- Objective reference;

- Copy of the master’s diploma or diploma of higher education (in the field of specialization) – for application as an independent candidate for the academic degree of Doctor of Philosophy (PhD);

- Copy of the employment record book, certified as required;

- List of scientific works and their copies;

- Character reference from the place of work;

- Copy of passport.

Note: For independent candidacy for the academic degree of Doctor of Philosophy (PhD), the following individuals are eligible:

- Holding a master’s diploma or diploma of higher education (in relevant fields);

- Having scientific achievements, including at least one scientific article published in a scientific journal and at least two abstracts of reports in collections of scientific works in relevant scientific fields, which may form the basis of the dissertation research for obtaining the academic degree of Doctor of Philosophy (PhD);

- Having at least two years of scientific and pedagogical work experience or having specific scientific achievements (patents for inventions or copyright certificates).

The selection of candidates applying for independent candidacy is made by the admission committee based on the results of the interview.
