PROJECT MANAGEMENT: STANDARDS, METHODS, GOALS

On March 9, 2020, representatives of the Republican Graduate School of Business and Management (hereinafter referred to as the Graduate School) held a regular training seminar for students of the Tashkent Railway Engineering Institute (hereinafter TREI) on the topic “World Project Management Practice”.

By tradition, the head of the Department of Project Management and Strategizing of the Graduate School - Kholbaev Bahrom made his presentation.

He noted the key points that need to be addressed during the process of developing a mission, setting specific goals and forming the right strategy, which competencies are currently in demand and in which direction of development it is worth concentrating efforts in order to gain market advantages in the field of project management.

In turn, T. Coffelt, a member of the Department of Project Management and Strategizing of the Graduate School, professor at the University of Iowa (USA), shared information about the current programs of the Faculty of Railway Transport at the University of Iowa, about training programs in project management, and teaching methodology.

The reports, accompanied by multimedia presentations and practical exercises, many illustrative examples and ease of presentation made the training accessible and exciting. Interesting and relevant questions gave to the event liveliness and dynamism. At the end of the seminar, the participants expressed their gratitude and appreciation to the organizers and speakers.

In turn, representatives of the Graduate School also thanked all participants of the event for such a warm welcome and wished them success in their further studies.
