Innovative Sector in Focus: Cooperation between Business Circles of Uzbekistan and Korea
As part of the development of innovative cooperation between the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Republic of Korea, a business meeting took place on October 31, 2024, at the Graduate School of Business and Entrepreneurship. The meeting featured a delegation from Korea focused on advancing the innovative sector across various industries.
The Korean business delegation included representatives from modern medical technologies and diagnostics, architecture and contemporary lighting, ICT technologies, smart films for industrial products, engineering, robotics, 3D design, and the cosmetics industry.
At the beginning of the event, the Korean entrepreneurs met with representatives from the Center for the Development of Business Incubators and Startup Projects at the Graduate School of Business. The parties discussed the conditions for conducting business and the opportunities for establishing enterprises in Uzbekistan involving Korean companies. The delegation was briefed on the favorable conditions created for foreign investors in Uzbekistan and the ongoing reforms aimed at developing various sectors of the economy in the medium and long term.
Following this initial meeting, an official session took place with broader participation from representatives of ministries, agencies, industry associations, and small and medium-sized enterprises in Uzbekistan. During this session, Korean companies delivered brief presentations on their products and services to Uzbek participants.
The event then transitioned into B2B meetings, where business negotiations were held between the parties. During these discussions, Korean and Uzbek participants explored specific areas for collaboration in implementing innovative products and services within the republic.
