A workshop for students and meeting with Vice-Rector of RANEPA and Director of IFSD - A. Margolin organized at the Graduate School

On November 23 of the current year a workshop for students on topic “Strategic priorities of sustainable economic development and the role of investment policy in their implementation»  was organized at the Graduate School of Business and Entrepreneurship under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan 

This workshop was attended by the Vice-Rector of the Russian Academy of National Economy and Public Administration under the President of the Russian Federation (RANEPA) - Director of the Institute of Finance and Sustainable Development (IFSD), Doctor of Economics, Professor - Andrey Margolin.

At this workshop the issues of implementation of new technologies in the economy and investment policy, new or changed demands of buyers in the modern world, as well as the formation of new proposals for the market, in addition, the quality of state regulation of economic activity were mainly discussed.

Besides, the issues of making managerial and investment decisions on the basis of understanding the need to achieve sustainable development and application of ESG-criteria “Two Triads of Sustainable Development” were considered, which are of key importance for determining strategic priorities and developing mechanisms for implementation of investment policy.

The workshop aroused great interest among the participants, and at the end of the workshop they received comprehensive answers to all their questions from the invited professor. 

After the workshop, a meeting was held between the Vice-Rector of RANEPA, Director of IFSD and the management, faculty and department heads of the Graduate School of Business and Entrepreneurship.

At the meeting, the parties considered the issues of involving the staff and faculty of both educational institutions in MBA specialization to exchange experience and to improve efficiency in the field of education. 

Also, the parties discussed the possibility of organizing short-term courses on professional development with IFSD, implementation of a double degree in MBA and a joint program for doctoral studies. 

At the same time, it was proposed to attract scientific consultants for doctoral students of the Graduate School from the faculty of IFSD, to improve the qualification and professional skills of professors on the basis of the Russian Academy of National Economy and Public Administration. 

During the negotiations, the topics of green economy development and ESG transformation of state, regional and municipal management systems were touched upon. 

Following the meeting, the parties exchanged views on the best practices in the field of education, as well as on the implementation of relevant measures within the framework of the meeting.
