A cooperation agreement was signed between the Graduate School of Business and Entrepreneurship and the Center for Entrepreneurship Education and Research at Yamagata University

On January 10th, 2024, representatives from the Graduate School of Business and Entrepreneurship under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan convened a meeting with counterparts from the Center for Entrepreneurship Education and Research at Yamagata University in Japan. Within the framework of the meeting an agreement on co-operation was signed and further steps of its deepening were defined.

During the meeting, both the Graduate School of Business and Entrepreneurship and the Centre for Entrepreneurship Education and Research engaged in discussions regarding their future plans for fostering productive cooperation in the realms of education and entrepreneurship development. Several key initiatives aimed at supporting businesses and entrepreneurship in Uzbekistan were deliberated upon.

One significant topic of discussion was the potential establishment of a similar center for entrepreneurship research with technical support from the Japanese side, to be based at the Graduate School.

Furthermore, there were considerations for the creation of a novel business development training program tailored for faculty and representatives of small and medium-sized enterprises. This program would involve the participation of experts from Yamagata University, and it would be implemented at the Graduate School.

Additionally, the possibility of creating a new business development training programme for faculty and representatives of small and medium-sized businesses of the Republic of Uzbekistan with the involvement of experts from Yamagata University was considered. The issue of organizing short-term internships for master's at Yamagata University within the framework of the student exchange programme in the field of entrepreneurship was also discussed.

Lastly, discussions included the organization of training for territorial branches of the Graduate School of Business, expressing interest in implementing the i-HOPE program, and exploring the potential for creating double-degree programs between the Centre and the Graduate School.

As a result of the meeting, a cooperation agreement was signed, which further contributes to the conclusion of a strategic agreement covering a wider range of mutual cooperation. This meeting was a key step in strengthening the partnership between the organizations.
