Seminar on Business Incubator Development started
On August 13, 2024, a three-day seminar titled “Stimulating Business Incubators in Building Innovation Ecosystems and Supporting Startups” began at the Graduate School of Business and Entrepreneurship.
This event brought together representatives from higher education institutions and government agencies and commercial organizations featuring both Korean and local experts.
The seminar aims to enhance the activities of business incubators and build the capacity of their staff to foster an innovation ecosystem and promote the widespread adoption of innovative entrepreneurship in our country.
Over 30 experts involved in the development of startups and business incubators from higher education institutions, government agencies and commercial organizations attended the seminar.
Dr. Youngsoo Kim, a renowned expert in business incubators from Korea, delivered a presentation on the topic “Entrepreneurship and the Startup Ecosystem.” His presentation emphasized the critical role of startup ecosystems and companies in economic development and their potential for implementation in Uzbekistan.
Additionally, experts from the Graduate School of Business presented on the topic “The Role of Universities in Developing the Innovation Ecosystem.” This presentation focused on key aspects of Uzbekistan’s innovation ecosystem, the objectives of establishing business incubators at universities and the importance of collaboration with other ecosystem participants.
During the seminar, participants had the opportunity to ask questions and receive insights on abovementioned topics.
