VITAUSTAS PUGACHEVSKIS’S INSIGHTS IN THE FIELD OF PROJECT MANAGEMENT

On January 20th, 2020, Graduate school of business and management (hereinafter Graduate school) hosted intensive master-class with participation of certified projects’ director, (IPMA-A), PMP, first assessor IPMA (Lithuania), expert and coach on project management and programs from Lithuania Vitaustas Pugachevshis. The master class was held within the frameworks of the program “Knowledge HUB” and was devoted to “Individual fundamental competencies in project management”, which was organized in cooperation with Association of project management of Uzbekistan (IPMA – Uzbekistan).

During the master class Vitaustas Pugachevshis informed the participants about the IPMA certification, provided guidance on how to manage the projects according to international PMI and IPMA standards, IPMA certification levels and also shared his views on competencies and experience of project management specialist, required knowledge in the field of project management and each IPMA certification level, which includes specific set of tasks and decisions on local, regional, national or international scale.

The master class symbolizes the commencement of process of creation and launch of the first system of international certification of project management in Uzbekistan. From June 2020 onward IPMA- Uzbekistan is planning to launch universal system of 4-level certification and accreditation of training-consultancy centers and issue internationally recognized certificates.

IPMA-Uzbekistan was established by Graduate school in January 2019. It is also a member of International Association of Project Management (IPMA).
