A MASTER CLASS ON THE TOPIC “PROSPECTS FOR STRATEGIC DEVELOPMENT IN THE MINING AND METALLURGICAL INDUSTRY OF UZBEKISTAN” WAS HELD AT THE RGSBM

April 2 at the Republican Graduate School of Business and Management at the National Agency for Project Management under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan held a master class on the theme "Prospects for strategic development in the mining and metallurgical industry of Uzbekistan." The “Hero of Uzbekistan”, Senator of Oliy Majlis, General Director of the State Enterprise NGMK, Sanakulov Kuvandik Sanakulovich, held this master-class. During the master class, he shared his vast management experience with more than 40 years of experience in the mining and metallurgical industry.

At the master class, students received information about minerals (gold, uranium, silver, etc.) in the depths of our Republic, and were familiarized with the history of the creation and development of of NMMC (Navoi Mining & Metallurgical Combinat). K.S. Sanakulov emphasized the significance of NMMC in the development of the economy, in the social sphere of Uzbekistan:

- “NMMC employs more than 60 thousand people who produce finished products worth more than $ 5 billion exported to world markets,”

“According to the plant, 27 investment projects were approved for the amount of 3.1 billion US dollars until 2026. Of particular importance in them is the expansion of mining, the discovery of new deposits and quarries, and an increase in production efficiency,”

- “In order to create additional conditions for attracting investment in the modernization of production, as well as the implementation of the tasks defined by the Action Strategy in the five priority areas of development of the Republic of Uzbekistan in 2017–2021, corporate disclosures are being introduced in accordance with the principles and requirements of the International Accounting Standards (ISAR) and publication of reporting, including on economic, social and environmental issues, in accordance with the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) ”.

The event was held in the form of lively discussion. In addition to the main content of the seminar, participants also received answers to their practical questions.
