Professor Leone Leonida’s current research interest lies in studying the predictive ability of the Early Warning Systems in forecasting systemic banking crisis as well as the corporate investment and the firm’s capital structure.

He is the Programme Director of the M.Sc. Banking and Finance and the M.Sc. Economics and Finance at the Kings College London. Leone's research has been published in outlets such as, among others, The Journal of Business Ethics, Work Employment and Society, The Journal of Banking and Finance, Physics of Life Reviews, The Journal of Empirical Finance, The Journal of Applied Econometrics, The Global Strategy Journal, Economics Letters, The International Review of Financial Analysis, The Oxford Bulletin of Economics and Statistics, and Empirical Economics. He has refereed for 50 different journals in economics and finance.
