Today, one of the important tasks of the Graduate School of Business and Entrepreneurship under the Ministry of Economic Development and Poverty Reduction of the Republic of Uzbekistan (hereinafter - the Graduate School) is the comprehensive development of higher education in our country, the usage of best international practices, improving the skills of scientific and pedagogical staff through the widespread introduction into the educational process and the establishment of cooperation with leading educational institutions around the world.

On April 26, 2021, during the visit of the delegation to the United States headed by the Deputy Director of the Graduate School – Sh. N. Isakulov, an official meeting was held with the administration of the Old Dominion University (hereinafter - ODU) in Norfolk, Virginia.

It should be noted that this was the first, initial meeting of representatives of the two universities at a very high level. The main purpose of the meeting is to widely introduce the international US education system and experience in higher education.

In particular, the meeting focused on expanding cooperation between the two parties, exchange of academic materials and academic articles, development of curricula and study programs, research and publication in the field of entrepreneurship, conducting research, audience, professors, establishment of joint programs of mutual training (internship) between teachers and administrative staff, introduction of short-term joint courses, master classes on international entrepreneurship, lectures, opportunities for cooperation in such areas as conferences and other scientific and educational events were discussed.

At the end of the event, a memorandum of mutual understanding was signed. This document provides a legal basis for effective cooperation between the universities of the two countries in the field of education. On this basis, in the near future it is planned to launch joint educational programs, which will be characterized by convenience and originality.
